LAURA FERNANDES "Embryo Series" A series painted antique windows. Oils on Glass

Embryo Series

Laura Fernandes

The exhibit is called "Embryo". My mission with this project was to create something visually intriguing yet strangely familiar. The pieces imitate abstract depictions of reproduction, creation, and new cycles. I enjoyed using a wide range of colors during the process, with the outcome of each painting usually depending on mood and intuition. I find inspiration for texture and design everywhere. Rusty metal, crumpled concrete, puddles, plants and people..it's all influences for my art.

All the work was created on recycled windows. It started off as an experiment, when I found some old windows on the street and now it's my new love. It also became a great way for me to be more economically efficient, environmentally friendly, and display my work in a less conventional way.

Spring is right around the corner

What we do is dangerous. We don't do things like your coffee shop...we do it correctly.  We do not apologize for our behavior. We are not particularly mellow.  It's all about the love of a family.  We aim to destroy your perceptions of the truth on all levels.  We fix bike tires and help little old ladies across the street.  We fear but love Zombies.  We believe in 5 dimensions. We craft with Magic. We are GOD.
